Since its introduction in 1978, SUPALUX® has been used to provide fire protection to thatch roofs. Its inherent fire resistance and durability makes it ideal for this application.
In the wake of an increasing number of enquiries and demands from specialist insurance companies, we have been developing SUPALUX® for this application. This development has included a specific fire test along
with site trials.
Below are some photographs and information, which reaffirms SUPALUX® as the most reliable product for this application.
Also enclosed is a copy of the Promat Technical Data Sheet 034 which is based on the requirements detailed in the ‘Dorset Model’. This covers both 30 minutes and 60 minutes fire resistance.
Unlike any gypsum product, SUPALUX® can get wet during construction without suffering any adverse long term effects
