NEW PROMAT SPECIFICATION TOOL SIMPLIFIES FIRE PROTECTION
10/05/2012
A unique new resource launched by Promat is set to simplify the often complex task of specifying the most appropriate passive fire protection system for a particular application. Specifiers, contractors and distributors will all be able to benefit from the new online SPEC SELECT™ tool, which allows different fire protection options to be compared, and which also gives users access to a wide range of specification details, technical information and CAD drawings.
SPEC SELECT™ offers users a quick and reliable one-step method of identifying the most suitable Promat passive fire protection system for their needs, no matter whether it is for a structural steel, partition, wall, ceiling or roof application. It also offers rapid access to standard CAD details, system specifications, safety data sheets and product information. Products can be searched for according to various parameters, including the length of fire resistance required, the type of application plus the need for impact and moisture resistance.
“We know from customer feedback that the process of specifying passive fire protection products and systems can sometimes seem daunting,” says Sean Appleton, Marketing Manager for Promat UK. “We’ve used that feedback to develop the SPEC SELECT™ system so that those customers can benefit from instant access to specific system and product data. This helps ensure that they get exactly the right information they need, which simplifies the process and ensures that they arrive at the most appropriate solution.
“Much of the information is also freely available without the need to register or log-in, as we wanted to make SPEC SELECT™ as practical and easily accessible to a wide range of users,” adds Sean. “Specifiers, contractors and distributors finally have a central point to which they can refer and find the information they need, quickly and easily.”
Promat will be updating and expanding the information available from SPEC SELECT™ on a continuous basis, making this one of the most valuable specification resources available on today’s market.
