Since its introduction in 1978, Promat SUPALUX^® has been used to provide fire protection to thatch roofs. Its inherent fire resistance and durability makes it ideal for this application.

In the wake of an increasing number of enquiries and demands from specialist Insurance companies, we have been developing Promat SUPALUX^® for this application. This development has included a specific fire test along with site trials.

Also enclosed is a copy of the “Dorset Model”. This details best practice and our formal specification for 30 and 60 minutes fire resistance.
