Carlton
The Promat Carlton site manufactures a range of products which are sold exclusively through Promat Sales Organisations. Promat Carlton offers many of the leading brands in spray applied fire protection including fire proofing systems for hydrocarbon and tunnel applications, fire protection of structural steel and concrete elements and a range of intumescent paints for structural steel protection.
The site at Carlton in Lindrick was purpose built for Mandoval in the 1970s when production was moved from Lightwater, Surrey. In 1998, Cafco purchased Mandoval and took over the facility which at the time was manufacturing cement based spray materials as well as the associated primers and topcoats. Following the Cafco acquisition by Promat Internation in 2007, Cafco introduced new lightweight fire protection products into the market to compete with new products coming into the market.
The factory has been further enhanced by the addition of a new office block and investment in improving the plant has resulted in the factory now being capable of producing in excess of 24 million kilograms of spray product per annum.
