Established in 1975 to represent and support the activities of the fire industry in relation to all forms of ‘built in’ fire protection.

Promat has historically and continues to serve on a number of the Technical Groups in setting standards and advice for the passive fire protection industry, including involvement in the Fire Protection for Structural Steel in Buildings (Yellow Book) 5th Edition published in June 2014.

Established in June 2012, following a merger between the Fire Sector Partnership and the Federation of British Fire Organisations.

The FSF seeks to give voice to and exert influence in shaping future policy and strategy related to the UK Fire Sector.
