Promat continue to push the development of fire protection systems further, constantly searching for improvement for the construction industry as a whole through representation at trade associations, BSI and CEN technical committees.

Association of Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP)

Established in 1975 to represent and support the activities of the fire industry in relation to all forms of ‘built in’ fire protection.

Promat has historically and continues to serve on a number of the Technical Groups in setting standards and advice for the passive fire protection industry, including involvement in the new Fire Protection for Structural Steel in Buildings (Yellow Book) 5th Edition published in June 2014.

Established in June 2012, following a merger between the Fire Sector Partnership and the Federation of British Fire Organisations. The FSF seeks to give voice to and exert influence in shaping future policy and strategy related to the UK Fire Sector.

Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF)

Represents companies who make, supply or fit, glass and glass related products in the UK and internationally.

Promat Securiglass is a member of the Fire Resistant Glass & Glazing Group (FRGG) who have undertaken a number of initiatives, the latest of which is the training of glass/glazing installers to a level of competency for the installation of fire resistant glass.


British Woodworking FederationBritish Woodworking Federation (BWF)

Representing over 600 members for the woodworking and joinery industry in the UK including manufacturers, distributors, suppliers and installers of timber doors, windows, conservatories, staircases, furniture and architectural joinery.

Promat Securiglass is actively involved in the management committee of the Fire Door Division, which covers the full plethora of joinery, including timber fire doors with glass vision panels.
