PROMASEAL® Wrap

PROMASEAL® WRAP is designed and tested to seal plastic and insulated metal pipes that pass through compartment walls and floors.

It is supplied as a 25m long x 40mm wide intumescent strip that will provide a high volume expansion and high pressure seal when exposed to fire.

Suitable for use with pipes up to 200mm diameter and allowing for a variety of wall thicknesses.
Tested to EN 1366-3 to provide up to 120 minutes fire protection.

Developed to provide a high volume expansion and pressure seal during a fire, PROMASEAL® WRAP provides up to 120 minutes fire protection (EI 120) tested to EN 1366-3, with maximum pipe diameter of 250mm.

The ultra-thin design of PROMASEAL® WRAP ensures that it can be installed in the tightest of locations.
Developed to provide a high volume expansion and pressure seal during a fire, PROMASEAL® WRAP provides up to 120 minutes fire protection (EI 120) tested to EN 1366-3, with maximum pipe diameter of 250mm.

Installation

For good adhesion the surfaces of the building elements should be free of any dust or grease, and may need to be primed. All services and apertures need to be clean and clear of dust and loose particles. 

Aperture temperature to be at +5C or above at time of installation. 

Ensure that the aperture and service have been tested with PROMASEAL® WRAP, in a relevant application (Product datasheet ).  An annular space needs to be created around the service to allow the PROMASEAL® WRAP to be installed to correct depth. 

Determine the correct length of PROMASEAL® WRAP (according to the pipe size and number of layers required) and install around the service using self adhesive tape to secure the end of the wrap. 
Install the wrap into the wall with the wrap recessed 5mm from the front face of the penetration seal. PROMASEAL® Intumescent Acrylic sealant used to fill the 5mm deep gap. 
 
PROMAEAL® WRAP to be installed in positions as detailed in Product datasheet.
